Ah, 2020. The year of a deadly worldwide pandemic, Black Lives Matter protests, millions of acres burned in wildfires, countless celebrity deaths (including Queen RBG), a wild presidential election, and even murder hornets. The 365 days that had multiple news outlets calling it the "year from hell" had no shortage of twists and turns, jaw-dropping moments, and hot topics that had us all asking, "Is this real life?"

 

While negativity and destruction seemed to be lurking around every corner, 2020 also brought us the chance to be more accepting, compassionate, and strong, finding opportunities to be better humans even in the most morally tragic circumstances. This is how honey, tea, & steam came to be.

What started out as a small school project for one of Lexi's classes eventually became a platform to discuss difficult and heavy-hitting topics we've come across in our daily lives as young women living in the United States. From mental health awareness to abortion laws, no topic is off-limits for our hosts, Lexi and Bella, to provide their experiences and opinions on. From day 1, we have always aimed to have these conversations in an inclusive safe space, where we can talk about how things affect people from all walks of life differently, and also what we can do to be more inclusive and educated about those things -- to be better humans, if you will.
