During this week's episode, we break down what exactly is this new Texas Heartbeat Bill, officially known as Senate Bill 8 (TX SB8). In this discussion, we talk about what is in the bill, how the bill will be affecting women in the state of Texas, as well as how this type of action can cause a ripple effect in the United States in which women may fear losing their right to bodily autonomy. We also talk about the importance of maintaining the separation of Church and State, with this we break down how abortion is not explicitly mentioned within the Christian bible, whilst being falsely interpreted. We wrap up the discussion by stating common myths that surround the process and idea of abortion whilst correcting them with the scientifically based and proven facts behind it. We then finalize today's episode by sharing personal accounts of abortion to solidify why having the option available is so important.
